In an Oct. 28 article on the events leading up to the Sept. 8 blackout along the southern most part of California it was noted the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station was taken off line due to an overloaded line. It continued that subsequently the California Independent System Operator acted to separate San Diego Gas & Electric’s and Southern California Edison’s systems. Instead, it should have said that the nuclear plant went offline as a result of CAISO’s separation of the two systems and according to plan.
