Of the state’s remaining 14 energy crisis contracts currently in effect, eight end next year, according to the Department of Water Resources. They include two contracts with Shell (Coral Energy) for a combined 550 MW, a 169 MW dispatchable deal with GWF Power, and a 30 MW geothermal agreement with Clearwater. PG&E is the recipient of the power. In 2012, San Diego Gas & Electric is to receive power from three ongoing deals: 570 MW from the Sunrise and 105 MW under two wind contracts with Whitewater. The remaining Allegheny 800 MW deal feeding into Southern California Edison terminates at the end of this year. The one deal that stays in effect until 2015 is a 96 MW contract with the Kings River Conservation District. The power is sent to PG&E.
