Climate Mitigation Attributed to $500M PG&E Rate Increase

The California Public Utilities Commission approved a $515 million increase in Pacific Gas & Electric rates Dec. 20 without comment. Increases are attributed primarily to the cost of acquiring new electricity and greenhouse gas costs. Decreases balanced it down $43 million from refunds and adjustments. The rate increase is set to begin in January.
