With the change in Congressional leadership, California Public Utilities Commission president Mike Peevey said Jan. 20 that it’s “unacceptable [that] a lot of people are turning their backs on a clean energy future.” He added that “California is leading the way. We have a heck of a mess at the national level.” Peevey noted that clean energy is needed to support current levels of economic activity.
