California Public Utilities Commission member Carla Peterman was unanimously confirmed by the state Senate on a 35-0 vote Jan. 9. She was appointed to a six-year term by Gov. Jerry Brown in December 2012. To serve more than a year, Senate confirmation is required. “I look forward to continuing my work to help ensure that the essential services regulated by the [commission] are provided to customers in a safe and reliable manner,” Peterman stated.
