Joint Renewable Energy and Advanced Generation, and Energy-Related Environmental Research, Development and Demonstration

The California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Natural Gas Program is soliciting research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects on renewable energy, advanced generation, and energy-related environmental research that fall within the four research areas below. 

A. Localized Efficient and Advanced Power and Heat Systems

B. Combined Heat and Power Applications for Associated Gas from Oil and Gas Production Fields

C. Reliable Power through Accelerated Demonstration and Deployment of Distributed Generation/Combined Heat and Power in Select Southern California Regions

D. Air Quality Implications of Using Biogas to Replace Natural Gas

Optional but encouraged Pre-Application Workshops will be held in Sacramento Oct 22 (10:00 in the Commission's Hearing Room B), and in Diamond Bar Oct 24 (SCAQMD's Conference Room GB, 21865 Copley Dr), and they will be webcast.

There is $5,400,000 available for this solicitation.
