The California Public Utilities Commission will hold its first business meeting of 2022 remotely on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 10: AM. It will be the first CPUC meeting for the new president, Alice Reynolds.
Also on Jan. 13, starting at 9 AM, the California Energy Commission will hold its first business meeting of the year, breaking from its usual tradition of Wednesday meetings. During the meeting, which will be audio only, the Commissioners will provide updates on their lead topics. Subsequent business meetings will be held on Wednesdays.
At the end of next week, reply briefs are to be filed at the CPUC that respond to stakeholder comments due Jan. 7 on the Commission’s controversial Net Energy Metering proposal released in mid-December. Bets are that the CPUC will issue an alternate proposal that does not raise monthly costs for home and business owners of rooftop solar as high nor lower payments for power fed into the grid as far.
